Ledges give you the chance to connect to anyone within a 20-mile radius, but with more precision, control and privacy than any other social platform. Its not just about who you already know but who else you want to connect with to discover similar interests or share with others what is going on around town.

LocalLedge is not about the past. Its about discovering and engaging with what is happening right in the place that matters most to you, your city, your block, your dorm, class or place of work.

It’s dead-simple to use, too.

Just create a ledge by giving it a name, description, keywords and radius. The radius will determine how many people will see your ledge, and can be set anywhere from 20-feet to 20-miles.

Then choose whether you want to make the ledge public, private or protected (depending on who you want to see it).

Public and protected ledges will stay up for 24 hours while private ledges will stay up till deleted by the owner. These are secret hidden Ledges for people you want to have a private conversation with.

You’ll have complete control over the ledges you create, including who can subscribe and reply. You can even ban users for inappropriate behavior.

Don’t want or need to create a ledge?

That’s okay.

Instead, you can search for ledges you’re interested in. When a new message comes in you’ll receive a notification. But don’t worry; you’ll never be bombarded with 100s of notifications. You’ll receive only one notification for each Ledge you subscribe to till you are ready to re-engage in the conversation.
